If you like Woodford Folk Festival, Townsville Folk Festival, Mitchell Creek Festival or Neurum Creek Festival then you should put Maleny Music Festival on your list of must see festivals this year.
We are a not for profit festival run by volunteers. If you would like to get involved as a stallholder, a volunteer at the festival or to provide your support in any way please get in touch. We encourage you to spread the word about our festival and invite everyone along.

Haven’t been before?

We would love to see you at the Maleny Music festival. This festival is for those who appreciate quality musicians. You may not know them by name before you come but you are guaranteed to go away with a new favourite artist every year. We specialise in finding talented instrument players, songwriters with a story to tell and artist who can captivate their audience.
We are heavy on the folk music, traditional Irish, blues and Americana. But we always have a wide variety of musical genres across the weekend. With 7 stages to choose from you can find an act that sounds good to you. Whether you like to get up early and start the day with a yoga session and some bush poetry, or if you prefer to sleep in and stay up late, this festival is for you. Click here to see last year’s artists.

Drive up with some friends and come for the day, only a short drive from Brisbane, Gympie and Moreton Bay. Plenty of accommodation options within walking distance of the festival. Maleny is worth staying one more day to view the Glasshouse Mountains, eat and drink in town or swim at the local Gardner falls. Subscribe to be the first to know when day tickets become available.

Come for a jam:

Are you a musician or enjoy playing an instrument? Bring it along to the festival. We have a dedicated sessions tent all weekend where you can join the circle and play along. If you are willing, there are open mic spots available on stage throughout the festival as well.

Never too old:

We have a lot of older audience members at this festival. We are a small festival so it is easy to get around. If your mosh-pitting days are behind you and you are looking for a seat in the front row then this festival is for you. It is so easy. Camping is on site and plenty of seating available at each stage with shaded marquees for a lovely carefree day. We are a listening audience paying attention to the artists and giving them the attention they deserve. Click here to see the site layout so easy for all.

Never to young: Kids are free!

Bring the kids! We have a kids tent THE HUB with performances and activities all weekend from school bands and young performers. Kids under 12 are free and teenagers are half price to make it affordable for the whole family to come along. THE HUB is a vibrant area of the festival. You can sit down, enjoy the tunes and watch the kids play nearby. We have drop in activities every day. Whether your kids are creative or sporty, there will be an activity to suit.

We’re looking forward to welcoming you to our community celebration – see you soon!
