Formed out of a love for the legendary partnership of Django Reinhardt and Stéphane Grapelli in the French Hot Club Quintet, and with a nod and a wink to Sigourney Weaver and fine red wine, Cigány Weaver is one of Australia’s most exciting gypsy-jazz ensembles, with a dedicated following around Australia. Their sound is reminiscent of jazz Manouche, traditional swing and Romani music.
